Joomla Extension - Simple File Upload
Note! v1.0 released, please view it here! As many have asked for v0.9.3 to remain I will continue to support that too.
Just what the name says, a simple module for uploading files to a specified directory.
The screens show the module implemented on the Right column, but as with any module the placement is according to your settings.
Please take some time to leave a comment with your thanks or comments!
If you like it and want me to keep trying to get stuff out there, don't hesitate to send me a buck or two... Many thanks to: John F., Brian D., Linda J., Mark K.

Have you set the users with hte correct CaSe?
"Admin" is not the same user as "admin". You need to separate the users with ; (semi-colon).
I will send you an e-mail as well.
//Anders
sorry to hear that. Which package did you grab?
Can you please contact me via the Contact Form and I'll help out through e-mail?

Maybe I am stupid, but I can't find any information how to use this upload form in article.
Please help.
Thanks
I will revise my answer; YES, you can... Just head over to the FAQ and there is an explanation on how to accomplish this!
Please let me now if I can help out further!

I have installed the module and am trying to create a link in a menu to map to the module. What type of link do I make? (sorry, the entire Menu concept confuses me and I can't figure out how to get to the module).
well, since it is a module you do not need a menu for it. In the Joomla Administration you first need to enable it under Modules and then pick the place where it should reside. If you chose "Left" it will be shown in the left column on the page(s) you chose for it to be viewed. Look at the screen capture above for Admin screen an you will see I have place mine in the left column.

Check the F.A.Q.

I get the message "Remote server connection failed, failed to open stream: no suitable wrapper could be found invalid URL"
I know both my URL and my FTP username and password are correct. What am I doing wrong?

Send a message through the contact form first, ok?

it was working fine since i install it, but now it shows this error.
//Anders
did u resolved this problem yet?
Empty delimiter is fixed in v1.2 (and it is only a Warning, not an error). 2MB limit is probably from your PHP settings, please check max. upload size from phpinfo(). Let me know if you need help with that, ok?

Hi,
not currently no, I have had a few questions about it and will give it some thought... (not making any promises though...) ;)
//Anders
I'm using the pdf indexer plugin, and I need to index the file that's uploaded. So I'm going to check into adding that ability.
Thanks again, its going to be a very useful tool to many I'm sure.
Could you please help me - how to integrate Simple File Upload into comment page.
I am sorry but you'll have to figure that one out yourself as it would require changing JComment code... If you want to add SFU to an Article please check the F.A.Q.
//Anders
please help!

Please contact me through the Contact form and we'll sort it out, ok?
//Anders

any insights?
TIA
//Anders
Where en-GB is your default Joomla language.
//Anders
how do i remove the link that on the upload success page? and for that matter how do i modifiy the upload success page?
is there any way to get a progress bar on the upload animation?
thanks! great product
The link and design for the "pop-up" is done in tmpl/default.php and text is from helper.php.
I have given some thought into the progressbar but it requires a few calsses on teh server and I havn't been able to sort it out yet... Maybe next release...

Anders
